saved christian seeing a catholic, who may not be saved, or so strong in her faith. what is your outlook? is this unbiblical to date or even marry someone who may not be as spiritually strong as you?

Your first mistake is thinking that she might not be as "spiritually strong" as you. It’s amazing you’re still single.

I’m sure you’ve heard of "unequally yoked". You need to be on the same page spiritually or it won’t work.

Look, if your imaginary friends can’t play nice together, maybe you shouldn’t be friends with a real person yet.

The bible does tell us Not to be unequally yoked. That is….to be emotionally attached to someone with different beliefs.
I think a Catholic (who is not saved) would qualify as unequally yoked. Do you really want your kids to learn all that doctrine without relationship to Jesus???

It is wrong if you are genuinely saved.

The bible advises against being "unequally yoked" with unbelievers. Reason being is because someone of the opposite faith usually doesn’t edify us as a believer. This is a personal choice though, and should be looked at with care.

Forget the spiritual. Does she light the fire of sin in your loins?

My outlook would be Hosea married a prostitute. Why? He heard God say that she was the one he was to marry. You really have to seek the Lord. I don’t believe it is un-biblical. But, that doesn’t make it right for you either. Ask God He will give you peace about it if she is the one!

as a person that has has both interests (former Catholic, now born again) this will touch off many debates.
Catholics believe in tradition and the Bible gains entrance into heaven. In simple words, you must go the Catholic church, do their "duties," and "believe’ in the Bible.
Purgatory is believed, even though the Bible does not support it.
The Holy Mary prayer is against what Jesus said in Matthew 6.
Praying to particular saints is not supported, as this means God is not able to answer all prayers.
The statues of Mary in front of most Catholics churches are graven idols/images forbidden by the Ten Commandments.
The pope is mot a descendant of Peter.
Penance is not required for penalty of sin. Jesus already paid that at Calvary.

I will not say a relationship will not work. But with different theologies, you will end up not going to the same church week after week.

I’m with Jack, you worry about the dumbest things…

Saved, not saved, what the hell are you talking about? That’s just a bunch of theological mumbo jumbo that has nothing to do with life. What matters is do you like her for her, not for religion.
